Head Fan 2015
November 2015
We have a Natures Head Composting toilet on Copernicus. A great alternative to a marine head and holding tank. To keep it composting and the boat smelling fresh, a small computer fan draws air out through a vent in the cabin top.
The original fan shorted during a routine clean, the second from rain water running down the vent. We replaced with a slightly larger fan to move more air in the hot, humid climate of Central America. This requires a larger fan box. After living with a "Rube Goldberg" affair just to see if the larger fan made a difference and yes it does, Bryan decided to install something a bit more robust, compact and elegant.
