Mast & Halyards 2018

Recommissioning includes getting the halyards back up. Time to replace the 2012 ones. 14mm Warp speed2 from Samson Ropes on sale. Old ones were 12mm. The new line is more comfortable to handle, better grip in winches and clutches, blocks and sheaves are sized to handle. Though it does not run as freely in the jib halyard clutch and is weighs about 25% more.

The topping lift messenger jumped the sheave and our little home invented/made sheave jumper did not help, so a mast top visit is needed. Carey's turn.
