Bahia de Banderas Winter Spring 2013

So much to see and so much to do, Bryan and I have reconciled to the fact that we can't do it all. Bahia de Banderas has a number of marinas and anchorages, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nuevo Vallarta, Paradise Village, Puerto Vallarta Puenta de Mita, you get the picture. The bay is fantastic for day sails and racing, crewed for Moon Dance, Lanea and Conor on day 2 of the Banderas Bay Regatta. She did very well, won that day as well as days one and two for her division. You rock! Some amazing boats and people. From folks heading south like us, or across the Pacific or up north home or the sea. And Ginger, who was biking, yes peddling with all her gear on her back and bike, up to Oakland. But we did get to see this big fellow from the side walk just on the reserve border. He must have been 7 feet long.

  • Puerto Vallarta April 2013 Shopping for los zapatos (shoes) in Mexico is fraught with options, there is huge shoe manufactering industry and it seems that every other store in the market area and malls are shoe stores and the other clothing shops also carry shoes. So many shoes, but you know what girls? There can never be too many shoes!

    La Cruz de Huanacaxtle March 2013 aka thread fish or thread fins. Saw these beauties swimming near the surface just by our docks. The bodies are really more disk like, but shooting from above foreshortens it making them look sleeker.
