Mazatlán January 2013 A great set shops 3.2 km from Fonatur. Tienda de frutas y verduras, a juice place, butcher and a tortillas shop.

Mazatlán January 2013 These gals make and sell corn tortillas from 5am to 3pm. A big ball of dough is fed in at the top of that machine that forms the tortilla, cooks it and the gal picks it off the conveyer belt.

Mazatlán January 2013 Look, a furniture and craft store that is part of the monthly artwalk in centro. The original building was built in 1930 as a Ford motor car showroom, the floors and ceilings are original. Beautiful.

Mazatlán December 2012 Chicas de Fonatur y Sus Amigas. Bryan and I were lucky enough to socialize a bit with the office staff at Fonatur. The whole staff is very nice and helpful. Best marina we have stayed in to date since we have started sailing almost 25 years ago.

Mazatlán December 2012 fabulous Sushi at Wine & Sushi in centro. All you can eat for 110 pesos, but the good part is the food. you don't order, you just eat and let the waiter know when to stop. Where: Sixto Osuna, between Plaza Machado & Belisario Dominguez, Centro Historico When: Daily 5-11pm. Closed Monday And: $110 pesos all-you-can-eat real sushi rolls(no cream cheese!) plus tempura, sashimi, nigiri and real wasabi. Beer & wine by the bottle or bring your own (no corkage fee!).
Mazatlán December 2012 there are these very fast little spiders. so fast you don't see them move, just there then gone. Love them.... keeps the bity bugs down.... no seeums, mosquitos, etc.

El Recreo in Mazatlán Decemeber 2012 The place is a film venue, theatre, book store, lending library, coffee shop that you can learn spanish via small classes and conversation. Great space, relaxing, open. btw the brownies are delicious. In Centro, on Constitutión between Heroes and Venus.
