Squid

March 2012 passage from Ensenada to Bahia de Magdalena Every morning meant squid patrol for the person on watch when daylight hits. This requires checking the side decks and cabin top for our little friends, tossing them back in to the water and cleaning the ink. Unfortunately none were found alive. These 3 agreed to a photo shoot first. Bryan turned his nose up at calamari for breakfast.

Mazatlán July 2012 During a big rain storm, trees got washed down the estuary where our marina is located. We think this little guy somehow escaped drowning or being washed out to sea by getting onto Copernicus. He stayed in our cockpit for a couple of weeks, but we needed to get the stowaway off before leaving Mazatlán. We transported him to a palm tree via Tupperware.

Isla San Francisco July 2012 The isthmus has many interesting plants. This one is a cactus, you catch it out of the corner of your eye and think it is a cowboy on a horse.
